TW7.info is operated by Irelco Ltd (company number 15377065). This notice explains how we handle personal information connected with the website.
What we collect
- Public visits: aggregate daily totals for the page group, broad referrer group and approximate audience area, plus the most recent human and automated-visitor times. The server uses the network address momentarily against a locally held geolocation database, reduces the result to a broad area and country, and does not write the address to analytics. TW7 analytics do not store an IP address, precise coordinates, postcode, city, full referrer, browser identifier or visitor cookie.
- Security logs: the hosting system temporarily records technical request information, including a network address, request route, browser information and time, to diagnose faults and detect abuse. These restricted operational logs are separate from TW7 Desk analytics and are rotated on a fourteen-day schedule.
- Messages: your name, email address and anything you choose to include when you contact us.
- Advertising enquiries: contact, booking, campaign and billing information needed to discuss and administer a campaign.
- Reader reviews: an anonymous one-to-five-star rating and any optional comment you choose to submit. The review form does not request a name or email address and does not store an IP address, visitor cookie or browser identifier. A comment may be published only after editorial validation.
- TW7 Desk: account and security information for authorised staff and contributors. The Desk is not a public account service.
Why we use it
We use contact information to respond to enquiries and take requested steps before a contract. We use campaign and account information to perform contracts, secure and administer the service, meet legal obligations and pursue our legitimate interests in operating a useful local-information service. We use aggregate visit and approximate-area totals to understand local reach, improve coverage and report advertising performance without building profiles of individual readers. We use anonymous reader ratings and validated comments to understand, improve and explain the service.
Sharing and retention
We do not sell personal information. The geolocation lookup runs on the TW7 server; a visitor’s network address is not sent to the geolocation data supplier. Only aggregated location counts enter TW7 Desk analytics. Information may otherwise be handled by service providers that support hosting, email, security or business administration, and may be disclosed where the law requires it. We retain it only for as long as reasonably necessary for the enquiry, service, security record, contract and applicable legal obligations.
Where a provider processes information outside the UK, we require an applicable lawful transfer mechanism. Contact us if you need details relevant to your information.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or transfer of your personal information, or object to its use. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
